  Judging Process

  • The awards are open to any company, agency or individual within the UK travel industry in the period 1 January 2009 to 30 May 2010.
  • A shortlist of entries will be published shortly after the closing date ahead of the process to select an overall winner for each category.
  • Internet entries must have the web address marked clearly on the entry form. Internet sites will be judged at a ‘live’ screen.
  • Entries for websites will be assessed against a range of criteria including originality, interactivity, functionality, content, clarity and should comply with Best Practice Accessibility guidelines.
  • All advertisements submitted must state on the entry form which publication/website or media the advertisement/campaign appeared in, and on which dates.
  • Entries arriving after the closing date will not be considered. Any entries received incomplete, illegible or not complying with the rules will be disqualified subject to the discretion of the chair of the judging panel.
  • Entries can be reproduced by Travolution online and in print.

The Travolution Awards programme is administered by Travolution.

The Travolution editorial and senior management team will make a preliminary assessment of the entries and create a shortlist for each category.

A committee of senior people involved in the online travel industry across operator, supplier and agency websites, search engines and technology companies, will then be appointed to review the entries and select a winner for each category.

The judges will retain the right to withhold an award in any category if, by mutual agreement, the entries are not deemed to be of sufficient quality to merit recognition. The panel will also propose a special commendation in a category if required.

A few select categories will invite entries via a 'pitch'.  The pitch will include appearing before the judges to present their entry and answer questions. Dates will be forwarded to entries when the shortlist is announced.

The judges’ decision is final.
