The awards are open to any company, agency or individual operating within the UK travel industry from the period January 2015 to May 2016.
Submissions can be either self nominated (where entrant and nominator are the same) or entries can be made on behalf of entrant (where nominator is different to the entrant).
Any entries received incomplete, illegible or not complying with the rules will be disqualified subject to the discretion of the chair of the judging panel.
Additional supporting materials must be concise and strictly relevant to the submission. Please provide url and weblinks within the submission rather than screen grabs as Supporting Material.
DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES
Entries must be submitted by 5pm on Friday 1st July 2016
Details of criteria for each award can be found on the main menu under Categories.
Entries for websites will be assessed against a range of criteria including originality, interactivity, functionality, content and clarity. Please ensure relevant entry website urls are clearly detailed on the entry form in order for judges to access websites to be judged.
Please only submit relevant and consice supporting material for the judges' perusal. If supporting material is available to view on your website, please detail URL rather than submit screen shots so that the judges are able to view live. Any advertisements submitted as supporting material must state clearly which publication/website or media the advertisement/campaign appeared in, and on which dates. Please do not include extensive presentations as supporting material; supporting material should be included only as examples and to strengthen the entry statement. Please note that animation, media files. videos and film clips cannot be uploaded with entries as supporting material; a web link (to view via vimeo or youtube for example)should be provided within entry content for judges to view such material which must be concise and specifically supports the entry.
All categories within the Marketing Awards will include the top three entries presenting formal ‘pitch’ to judging panel, these categories are as follows:
- Best Use of Social Media
- Best Use of Search Engine Marketing
- Best Website User Experience
- Best Use of Content Marketing
The Travolution editorial and senior management team will make a preliminary assessment of the entries and create a shortlist for each category.
A committee of senior people involved in the online travel industry across operator, supplier and agency websites, search engines and technology companies, will then be appointed to review the entries and select a winner for each category.
The judges will retain the right to withhold an award in any category if, by mutual agreement, the entries are not deemed to be of sufficient quality to merit recognition. The panel will also propose a special commendation in a category if required.
